Henry's letter from Singapore

Hi Karen:D

This is Henry:D Henry who is from Singapore and had an opportunity to sit-in for your class for a month's time :D Does it ring a bell? :D Hope you still remember me:D

Being back to Singapore for a month. The new semester had started for me. I am delighted to be back to school after a two months' break:D And of course, the time that I spent in Taipei, in particular, in your English class was the most memorable one:D I enjoyed myself so much that even now i still want to attend it:D

I managed to get your email address through Xu Yu while I was chatting with her on MSN the other night.
Just thought of writing an email to say hi and also send my appreciation to you once again:D Thank You! :D

Would love to hear your reply:D
If there is anything that you might need from Singapore side or the neighbouring countries, perhaps surveying the students for certain finding (Singaporean English?? anyone hehe ), or something that's dealing with the students, i would love to do that:D At student level, it is much more easy and accessable for me as a student to reach out to them :D

Regards
Henry:D

I just listened to the song"eBay"by Weird Al Yancovic, and I found it hilarious!
I tried hard not to laugh out loud because my roommate was studying.
...but I almost choked trying to hold in my laughter.

"I Want It That Way" was one of my favorite songs when I was in senior high, and the version Al revised is really brilliant funny ~~~
Besides, many other songs Weird Al has rewritten we are all familiar with.
They are all witty and amusing.

Tom's responses

Tom said......
Before I respond to messages individually I want to thank all of you for
reading my story. I sincerely appreciate all of your kind comments and
the excellent observations you have made. I am not what anyone could really call a "writer" by any stretch of the imagination but I do enjoy doing a little bit of writing from time to time. One of the most important things that can happen for a writer is to receive input from readers and I think that input can be extremely valuable when it comes from outside of one's culture as has been the case with the comments I have gotten from all of you.
I will try and respond to each of your comments. I had intended to do so much earlier in the semester but have had computer problems which have not been fixed to this very day so I am submitting my comments by e-mail. I apologize for creating extra work for someone by having to do things this way. If I do not respond to a particular comment that someone has made it is because I think I have answered the question elsewhere. Hopefully some of what I have to say will be worth both a little extra work for someone as well as your time to read. If any of you wish to e-mail me privately I would be glad to do so at g_brennantg@titan.sfasu.edu
which is my university e-mail address.
